FURA Gems Achieves RJC Certification

Since March 2026, FURA Gems has been a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), marking a significant milestone in its ongoing commitment to responsible sourcing and transparent business practices. Following a comprehensive independent third-party audit against the RJC Code of Practices, this certification recognises the company’s alignment with the highest international standards across governance, human rights, labour practices, environmental management, and supply chain due diligence.

“FURA Gems’ achievement of RJC Certification, as a certified member of our global community and the first colored gemstone producer to reach this milestone, reflects a clear commitment to the highest standards of responsible business practice, transparency, and integrity across the supply chain. This accomplishment demonstrates strong leadership in meeting the RJC’s rigorous standards and sets an important benchmark for the sector. We look forward to continuing our work together to advance responsible practices across the global jewellery and watch industry.”

Purvi Shah, Executive Director, Responsible Jewellery Council

As the jewellery industry’s leading standard for responsible business conduct, the RJC framework incorporates globally recognised benchmarks, including the OECD Due Diligence Guidance, the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the IFC Performance Standards. For partners and clients, this certification provides clear assurance that FURA Gems operates with robust systems, disciplined oversight, and a long-term commitment to integrity across its operations. The certification is the result of a rigorous and structured audit process covering FURA Gems’ corporate governance, operational procedures, and supply chain systems within the defined scope of certification. This includes the company’s active mining operations in Australia and Mozambique, alongside its broader compliance and traceability frameworks. Beyond the existence of policies, the audit evaluates their effective implementation in practice—ensuring that responsible sourcing principles are embedded at every stage of operations. “This certification is an important milestone in FURA Gems’ development. It reflects the work we have undertaken to strengthen our governance, management systems, and operational controls, and reinforces our commitment to transparency, traceability, and responsible mine operating practices aligned with international standards.”
